About the event

The Resilient Educator Circle

A series for educators who haven't lost their spark, and are looking for the people who share it.

The Resilient Educator Circle is a three-part experience designed for educators who spend their days pouring into others and are ready to pour back into themselves.

Through mindful creative activities, honest conversations, and evidence-informed reflections, each gathering creates space to pause, reconnect with your purpose, and strengthen the resilience needed to thrive in education — not just survive it.

This isn’t professional development in the traditional sense. There are no lectures to sit through or performance expectations. Instead, you'll build what lets you keep showing up as the educator you want to be: not by pretending the work is easy, but by getting clear on what makes it worth it, understanding what genuinely sustains people in demanding work, and turning that into a practice you carry back into your classroom. You’ll do it alongside a small circle of educators who understand the unique joys and challenges of this profession. Resilient educators aren't born. They're built, on purpose, in good company.

The three-part series build on each other:

  • Root — get clear on what drives you, and what drains you.

  • Reframe & Restore — learn the science of resilience, and practise it.

  • Respond — turn it into a way of showing up you can lead with.

Root: The Educator's Pause

Part 1 of The Resilient Educator Circle

It all begins with our commitment to the children. As our responsibilities grow, we soon realise that not everything is within our control. Expectations, competing demands, and the emotional weight of caring for others can leave us feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or depleted. Before educators can build resilience, they need to understand where their stress comes from.

In Part 1, we'll focus on increasing self awareness and normalising the emotional demands of education.

What You'll Walk Away With

  • A clearer read on your own values, strengths, and stress patterns as an educator

  • A practical framework — the science of hardiness — to help us regulate our emotions and navigate difficult moments with greater calm and clarity

  • A small circle of educators who understand the work the way you do

  • The first step of a personal resilience practice you'll build across the series

Details

  • Light brunch provided

  • For early childhood educators. Adults only.

Early Childhood Practitioner · Principal · Mentor · 13+ years of supporting children, families, and educators

I'm not here because I've mastered resilience. I'm here because I'm committed to practising it. Like many educators, I'm still learning how to navigate stress, seek inspiration from around me, protect my well-being, and stay connected to the purpose that first brought me into this profession.
