Our Story

About Pebble Place:
A Singapore Preschool Est. 1999

In 1999, our founders Mrs Mabel and Mrs Zita was in a dilemma; they found that most preschools in Singapore did not meet the needs of their families. So, they dreamt of their own school, where learning would go beyond the four walls —a school where kids could get their hands messy, explore the world, and learn through real experiences.

Inspired by their own life experiences, they built Pebble Place as a warm, vibrant village where children played, discovered, and grew together in a community that valued resilience, curiosity, and heart.

Now, as Pebble Place enters an exciting new chapter, Mr. Hanson and Ms. Bianca (Mrs. Zita’s daughter) are carrying the torch, keeping the same kampong spirit alive.

Our mission? To keep the joy of learning boundless, the friendships strong, and the community at the heart of it all—because at Pebble Place, it truly takes a village to raise a child.

The school Mrs Mabel and Mrs Zita built has always been guided by a simple belief: children learn best when they feel known, valued, and free to explore. That belief has a name — and a practice. Learn more about our philosophy.
